Elin Dawson

Principal

Miss Elin teaches Modern, Performance classes and Private lessons.

Miss Elin trained at Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom. Miss Elin is a dedicated teacher and her ambition is to continue to build the school, creating a happy, safe environment for all students, she is honoured to be the Principal of Dawson School of Performing Arts, her dream has always been to run a Performing Arts school! Miss Elin is tremendously grateful to have such wonderful students who fill her with pride due to their determination, skill and fabulous personalities!

Miss Daisy

Teacher

Miss Daisy teaches a range of classes at DSPA.

Miss Daisy trained at Bird college. Miss Daisy is a nurturing, kind and wonderful teacher and an integral part of the DSPA team.

Mr Freddie

Teacher

Mr Freddie teaches a range of classes at DSPA.

Mr Freddie trained at Laine Theatre Arts. Freddie is a Musical Theatre Performer as well as being a fabulous teacher, we are so lucky to have Freddie on the DSPA team! Freddie has performed in top West End shows and other productions including 42nd Street, Cats and many more.

Miss Emily

Teacher

Miss Emily teaches a range of classes at DSPA.

Miss Emily trained at the Centre Performing Arts. Miss Emily was in the original Cast of Billy Elliot the musical in the West End and after graduating college she performed in Greece for 3 years. Miss Emily is a passionate and dedicated teacher and an integral part of the DSPA team!

Mr Phil

Musical Theatre Teacher

Mr Phil teaches Musical Theatre and Singing lessons

Mr Phil trained at Laine Theatre Arts

We are so thrilled to have the amazing Philip Bertioli as our wonderful Musical Theatre. Phil has performed in numerous West End productions including

High School Musical, War Horse, Funny girl, Fiddler on the Roof, , Singin’ in the rain and 42nd Street.

Miss Jess

Miss Jess teaches a range of classes at DSPA.

Miss Jess trained at London Studio centre. Miss Jess is a Musical Theatre Performer as well as being a wonderful teacher and has performed in many West End shows and Touring productions inducing 42nd Street, The Adam’s family and many more.

Miss Rachel

Miss Rachel teaches Ballet.

Miss Rachel trained at Elmhurst Ballet School and the Royal Ballet School. Miss Rachel is an inspiring Ballet teacher and instills beautiful technique and performance quality in our students.

Dawn – Receptionist

Our lovely Dawn is a very important part of our DSPA team. She is always there to help with all your queries and looks after all our lovely students!

My daughter has been at the dance school for 5 years now and this will be her third year as part of the performance team. She has always had lovely teachers who make lessons fun as well as having high expectations of technique. She absolutely loves coming to dance and attends five days a week. They have put on amazing shows and attended numerous competitions all while ensuring the children are happy and enjoying themselves. Charlie also has singing lessons and attends musical theatre classes, all of which are helping to build confidence. The dance school feels like a family which we hope to be part of for years to come!

Stephanie Hill

My daughter had her first taster class at DSPA in 2017.  Three years later she now participates in 13 classes a week, has private lessons and is a member of the performance team. She has been given so many amazing opportunities over the years and has made memories that she will never forget! The teachers are so committed and focus on bringing the best out of the children both in terms of their dance ability and their personal development. They care so much about them and go above and beyond to make sure that they not only reach their potential but also that they feel happy, safe and confident. The studios are my daughters second home and she absolutely loves every single lesson.

Louise Hawkins

My daughter has been attending the dance school for 4 years. It has been a great confidence boost for her along with gaining amazing results in her exams. The school have provided her with great opportunities to perform on stage/in theatre’s along with being part of their performance team entering into competitions. All the teachers are a great team and encourage the best out of all the children. My daughter loves attending the studios and continues to develop in all areas of dance. Penny is really loving her ballet class on Saturday mornings. We have found the delivery to be successful at keeping Penny’s attention and Miss Emily’s enthusiasm, passion for dance and encouragement to the students comes across strongly. Mum of Penny, aged 4.

I have two daughters who dance at Dawson School Of Performing Arts, my eldest has danced for 8 yrs and my youngest started at our Twinkletoes and has danced with the school for 5 yrs. Dancing is their world and it’s all thanks to the dedicated, professional teachers who have taught them all their skills and technique that they know to date. Dawson School of Performing Arts isn’t just a dance school. It’s a dance family where every child is respected and also taught the love of dance and being part of a team. There is no teacher I wouldn’t be happy teaching my children and there is no other dance school I would want them to be part of. Miss Elin and her team are the best.

My daughter has been dancing with this amazing team of teachers since she was 3 years old. They have nurtured my daughters love for dancing and have encouraged her to try new things. DSPA provide such a wide variety of classes and the teachers are so creative. She loves all the different opportunities that she has experienced. They have been extremely supportive during the challenges we have faced with COVID this year through providing online lessons. The main thing is that my daughter loves it and loves the teachers. Dawson School of Performing Arts is an amazing dance school. It is nurturing, whilst still encouraging the children to aim high. My daughter has had some fantastic opportunities and her confidence both on and off the dance floor has grown so much. Cannot recommend this dance school enough!
