Directions to Dawson School of Performing Arts, formally known as Bexley School of Dance

Travelling from Bexleyheath to Dance School

Drive down Broadway towards Welling High Street, passing Crook Log on Right and Danson Park, Welling football ground on Left. Studios is set on the Right hand side in School Lane. School lane is a tiny road set in between the refrigerator company and the Luso Portuguese Cafe on Welling High Street.

Route to Dance Studios = 5 mins drive

Travelling from Blackfen to Dance School

At Main cross roads (Katie’s Playpen) drive up hill towards Welling. Pass the Co-op on the right and go under bridge to roundabout. Take 2nd exit of roundabout (straight across) and when you reach the next roundabout take the 2nd exit (straight across) you should pass Bexley Grammar on the right, follow road all the way to the end (Bexley Lane). Turn right into end of Welling high street (Danson park end) take the next left into School Lane. Route to Dance Studios = 3 mins drive

Travelling from Welling Station to Dance School

Drive all the way through Welling High Street towards Bexleyheath. Go Straight across at main traffic lights and continue to travel along Welling High Street. You will pass Morrisons on Left and Tescos on right. Continue along Welling High Street until you pass the Nags head pub. Turn Left into School Lane.

Dawson School of Performing Arts is an amazing dance school. It is nurturing, whilst still encouraging the children to aim high. My daughter has had some fantastic opportunities and her confidence both on and off the dance floor has grown so much. Cannot recommend this dance school enough!

My daughter has been attending DSPA for a few years now and thoroughly enjoys it. There is a great atmosphere of support and encouragement at the school and a wonderful balance of having fun whilst learning and making progress. The students are taken through exams and assessments without feeling undue pressure and are encouraged to reach their potential. The teachers are kind and an inspiration to the children they teach. My daughter has been dancing with this amazing team of teachers since she was 3 years old. They have nurtured my daughters love for dancing and have encouraged her to try new things. DSPA provide such a wide variety of classes and the teachers are so creative. She loves all the different opportunities that she has experienced. They have been extremely supportive during the challenges we have faced with COVID this year through providing online lessons. The main thing is that my daughter loves it and loves the teachers. I have two daughters who dance at Dawson School Of Performing Arts, my eldest has danced for 8 yrs and my youngest started at our Twinkletoes and has danced with the school for 5 yrs. Dancing is their world and it’s all thanks to the dedicated, professional teachers who have taught them all their skills and technique that they know to date. Dawson School of Performing Arts isn’t just a dance school. It’s a dance family where every child is respected and also taught the love of dance and being part of a team. There is no teacher I wouldn’t be happy teaching my children and there is no other dance school I would want them to be part of. Miss Elin and her team are the best.

My daughter had her first taster class at DSPA in 2017. Three years later she now participates in 13 classes a week, has private lessons and is a member of the performance team. She has been given so many amazing opportunities over the years and has made memories that she will never forget! The teachers are so committed and focus on bringing the best out of the children both in terms of their dance ability and their personal development. They care so much about them and go above and beyond to make sure that they not only reach their potential but also that they feel happy, safe and confident. The studios are my daughters second home and she absolutely loves every single lesson.
